Our German friend and soon-to-be Ag student, arrived the beginning of September to start his first ever Midwest harvest the fall. He is here to learn all there is to know about harvesting the yearly corn and soybean crops, commodity marketing, and some tractor mechanics. He is well-suited for this experience because he has been learning to farm in Germany for the past few years. Because German economics and grain farming is quite different from North American conventional standards, he is here to observe and learn hands-on what we do and how we do it.

When I was a teenager, it was the one chore I hated the most. Today, it’s a joy, especially on a sunny day!
